About Haiti

Our Haitian friends from the rural village of La Victoire, Haiti will welcome you proudly with their bright Caribbean spirit. The Haitian culture is incredible and diverse, with much strength and resolve.

Join Urban Mission as we continue to serve alongside our global partners and further build our bond with this beautiful community. Urban Mission has traveled to Haiti since 2010, providing access to health care and education through mobile clinics in areas where it is limited or difficult to obtain.

Medical Clinics

Urban Mission has hosted medical mobile clinics in Haiti since the 2010 earthquake. Haiti has made some strides toward recovery in the last few years, but health care access remains an overwhelming need.

Our global trips focus on hosting mobile clinics in rural areas where access to health care services are extremely difficult to obtain. Our team serves a high patient load in Haiti that reside within the rural mountain regions of Haiti. We partner with local organizations, schools, and medical professionals to provide health care services and education that improve the health and quality of life in underserved communities.

Transportation & Lodging

All volunteers arriving/departing from Cap Haitien Airport in Haiti on the days of the trip are picked up and dropped off at the airport by our ground team. You will receive specific information regarding your travel agenda, team meetings, and schedule upon becoming an official member of the team.

The team will stay in modest mission home near the village of La Victoire, Haiti. Transportation, bottled water, and traditional Haitian food will be provided by local cooks at the mission home; the staples are stews, goat, and rice plates. Our host is a full-time missionary who lives in Haiti and will play an integral part in hosting our team members during our service trip to Haiti.

Fundraising & Training

Urban Mission provides team members with a personal fundraising page, which is customizable with your personal information and sharable through all social media outlets. When soliciting donations for any of our trips, success is completed by telling your personal story. Why do you want to go? Who will you help? Tell your story to anyone and everyone. Your Team Coordinator will be contacting you regarding dates and times for team meetings, conference calls, and training sessions.
